Well there's lots of sites out there that have been a great help to us over the course of the production and we'd like to share those gems with you, from production sites to fanfilms, from FAQs to resources... Fan sites www.fanfilms.com - your first port of call if you are planning to make a fanfilm or would just like to watch what everyone else is up to. Packed with tutorials, message boards, films to downloads, it really is packed full of great stuff !!! http://www.whatthefunk.net/poc.htm - what can I say, but WOW !!! This film is a proof of concept for a mauch larger film. The effects are great, the fighting is really cool and the fact that they have included some effects talk htrough reels is AMAZING!!! Really cool to watch adn to take in. Great director commentary. And for god's sake download the gag reel, its great and really brings home what we have to do to make a great film. The teaser trailers really bring back Episode IV - VI to life. Can't wait for it to be released !!! Resources http://www.jedi-academy.com - A good resource for making costumes from jedi robes to biker scouts. Teling you where to buy bits, what patterns make what pieces and what materials to use. www.gettyone.com - I find this site useful for reference images to help with lighting, ideas for textures for 3D and matte paintings. Key in something you wish to search for. you will find they have a wealth of images. IMPORTANT, whilst gettone is free to browse and download images for ideas only, you cannot use them in your films or anyother useage unless you purchase the rights to do so. Use it as a good source of reference images. www.starwars.com - if you didn't already know it, Star Wars.com is the site for all the films knowledge and multimedia. Up until recently everything was free but this year Lucas decided to make it a pay site where you join up for quite a lot of money and get access to on set webcams, images and story tit bits. A smart move for Lucas, but in my mind not a very nice move as he is already making a bucket load off of my going to see his films, buying the DVDs and Videos [Twice with the videos now] the soundtracks etc... Still a great site !!! Client site links I produce freelance websites for a variety of small clients to fund my filmmaking interests. The Expensive Habits - A really great band who I've produced the band identity, website and their first Album packaging for. A cool sound and so underrated. You can preview the album on the website. And then buy their album on iTunes or Amazon.co.uk/zhops. New Business Grows Business - Bella Ikpasaja - A friend who I worked with at one of the agencies. A fantastic new business development talent working for Design, DM, Integrated and PR agencies. Bella brings tailored new business support be it long or short term. With highly a successful track record of large ROI. Nick Kontou - Kon2 Photography - Nick was the department head of Studio at the agnecy I work for and decided after 15 years to try something new. He took a hand to photography which has developed into a fantasticly successful business catering for weddings, portraits and events including corporate one.
